After sales Service lacking

Went in to have a funny noise in the motor checked out.Consultant advised me to have a mechanic listen to it before booking it in and said one would right with me.Waited twenty minutes then enquired if the mechanic would be much longer? I was then told that the mechanic must have forgotten about me and he would be with me in the next ten minutes. Ten minutes later I asked where the mechanic was only to be told he was out on a test drive and would return shortly. Another mechanic who was passing by was then asked by the consultant to help me with my vehicle. He also made some excuse and proceeded to the workshop. <br> So after a total of forty minutes I had still not been helped and ended up just booking my car in anyway. This was the third time that I have received bad service from the after sales and services department at this branch. Previously had to wait more than 4 months to get a part fitted, allegedly due to a flood in their storeroom causing them to send the parts back. An understandable situation but surely they should communicate problems with their clients? I'm concerned that the service at the desk is a reflection of the workmanship on my vehicle. Is my car safe to drive?
