A spare key - Renault
I bought my Renault Clio brand new, end of May 2019. When I arrived on the day to collect my car, I was told that there was no spare key available.
I was told this would be sourced and the issue would be dealt with within a matter of weeks. I was then told that the Tokai branch had my key, a few months later. I then visited the branch and was told that there was no key.
Eventually, a few weeks later I was told a key was available. The key did not work on my vehicle and I was then assured that my key would be imported from France and would take roughly 3 weeks.
Numerous unanswered phone calls, empty promises, a full service and almost a year and a half later I still do not have a spare key.
I am tired of hearing that it will be sorted and someone is looking into it and it has been escalated. Co-vid came 6 months after I bought the vehicle, that is no excuse.
My first car experience has not been great with this Brand. There has only been one person trying to assist me, who seems to be the light at the end of the tunnel but surely he needs the assistance and full co-operation from the company to sort this out.
PLEASE NOTE: I am not behind on any of my payments, I have not waivered through a difficult economic environment (and salary cuts). I have held up my end of the bargain with this brand and have been completely neglected.
And all I want is what is supposedly a 'standard' service / product that comes with purchasing a new vehicle.
This is ridiculous on every level.
