THE WORST SERVICE PROVIDER EVER/BAD SERVICE

Its been two months and I am having not luck with RMS and they high billings and they don't even bother trying to sort you, when I initially complained I was given a subsidy my issue is still not resolved I reported this to Afhco who have done absolutely nothing nor have they acknowledged any of my emails even though we send them the graph to show how the consumption is not making sense, I reported Afhco on Hello peter who told me 2weeks ago RMS was going to recheck the meters still nothing I followed up with a lady from RMS but she also does not report and for 2 people and I am not even at home during the day my consumption for both electricity and water has tripled, we don't have meters in our units, RMS is dictating our usage and what we should pay, this is ridiculous and unacceptable. 28/06 to 16/08- I paid them R600 this was after months of back and forth and I told them I am not paying R1400, Then again I paid R300 from 16/08 to 26/08 (10DAYS ONLY???) Yesterday I requested my statement that does not show these payments and if I look at it from the 27/08 to 31/08 the amount owing is R110.85 (6DAYS?????) how is this possible and RMS does not even bother getting back to me.

Hi Shamim,  RMS has been in contact with you with regarding this issue. Kindly refer to the email communication between RMS and yourself over the course of the past few months. In these, we did confirm that the metering is correct and dedicated to your unit.  Please be advised that the outstanding issue is Afcho related and has nothing to do with RMS as we are only responsible for the utility collection. Please also note that the rates we charge are municipal rates which are approved by NERSA. There are individual meters for water and electricity, which are dedicated to each unit. With regards to the payment not being allocated, please ensure you use the correct reference and send proof of payment to ***. I hope this answers your query. Regards, the ismrt! Team

I firstly want to see my meter!
secondly i want to see all readings to date
YES PROOF OF PAYMENTS had the correct references and was sent to Christine Hayes,

and Thirdly please don't say you guys have sorted from your side, i requested my september Utility transaction details to date and got no response from Christine, how can you say you meter is correct when i don't have veiw to it, PREPAID IS BASED ON USAGE/CONSUMPTION RATE, SO WHY DO WE HAVE TO PAY ADDITIONAL FEES WHEN RMS does not provide the service, as a consumer i have every right to know what i am paying for and not what RMS thinks i should be paying or using!!!! get your facts right before responding!!

Hi Shamim, You have full access to your consumption detail (in half-hourly intervals), statements, and much more via the online dashboard. Go to www.remotemetering.net/clientlogin to log in to the dashboard (username: your registered email / cell number and password: your smrt!Wallet PIN SMS'ed to you upon registration).
Proof of payments need to be sent to our call centre at *** in order to allocate it manually to your meter - this takes 48 hours. Payments via the dashboard or your phone (*120*47678#) reflects immediately. Regards, the ismrt! Team.

Hi Shamim,  You have a smart meter, not a prepaid STS meter. This means there is no human intervention required in order to obtain readings or to top-up your meter. The meters are installed in a locked meter box in a central area of the complex. We can arrange for a technician to come to site and show you your meter (you will see a serial number on the meter) and to verify that this serial number corresponds to that on you consumption report on the dashboard. The meters were commissioned, which means there was a switch-off test done with the initial installation to confirm that each meter is correctly linked to the unit.  An accuracy test is also preformed to ensure the meter is billing correctly. Unfortunately, the reason why your consumption is high is something that depends on each individual consumer.  It has to do with how you use electricity, the type of appliances you have in your home and the temperature your geyser is set on (and many other factors that we have absolutely no control over). When you moved in, you would have received an application form with a property chart that gives you all the fees, as well as a breakdown of the municipal rates you are charged. There is also a link on the property chart to the corresponding municipality's website where you can compare the rates we charge you with the approved municipal rates and verify that this is correct. On the application form and property chart, it clearly states that all proof of payments must be sent to the call centre directly as they are responsible for loading manual payments. The call centre is also responsible for general queries and are able to assist after hours as well. Christine is in our billing department and is responsible for investigating billing discrepancies. Apologies for the confusion caused. We will be able to provide you with sufficient proof that you are metered correctly, but the reason your consumption is high is something you will need to investigate yourself, or ask your managing agent to inspect your geyser to ensure it is functioning optimally. I trust this answers your query.

Hi There well then I was misinformed by the agent at Afhco, if this was the case I would never have rented at the Etude, its a problem when we cannot see our meters and have to take RMS word that its correct and I am saying its not because I know my usage without having a washing machine, dishwasher how is it possible that the consumption is so high and I am not even at home during the day, I don't even use the stove on a daily basis, and the over and above usage charge that RMS charges, R8 a day for what?? then we should have rather gotten an account directly with the municipalities even then we would not have to pay R8 a day I mean really, this is something else that I will address with AFhco, secondly if Christine Hayes was not the correct person to send POP;s to then she should have said so, and if you guys are so sure its been over a week I requested some information from Christine Hayes to date she has not bothered to respond, as a customer I have every right to see what I am paying for and except graphs you guys cannot provide solid proof. No wonder RMS has such bad reviews as you are doing things from a RMS point of view and not the customer and according to law I have a legal right to know how you guys come to the KHW you charging me or why I need to pay the R8 a day, this is ****************. tell me how is it possible from the 26/08 to 18/09- my electricity is R560.24 I have chatted to other people in the complex who has kids and using washing machines at least 3times a week and they consumption is R500 a month!!!!!!
