Claim not paid

I was admitted in Casternhof on the 17th Nov 2015, I called in to get authorization as per procedure. I was approved after giving correct information for the Surgeon that was to do my Op. I today received an account from the Dr with an outstanding amount of R2100. I am buff led that I spend about R3000 monthly paying my med aid without a fail yet I still have to pay so much to a Dr that was authorized for me to use. Where Do I get protected by medical aid in such a mess. What could I have done to not find myself in such a financial constrain? Should I have not gotten sick? What is the purpose of having a medical aid therefore? where is justice in this whole saga ? Why am I liable for such high amounts months later ? If Remidi had an agreement with the DR to pay on the agreed scheme rate why then am I liable for things that come up without my knowledge ?
