The very UnReliable Store - The perils of on-line Shopping

My first order with Reliable (41235) was placed on 9th April 2022, and eventually delivered 15th June, about a month later than promised.

I noted that they were using Buffalo Express, who I have great regard for, as their shippers, and decided to use Reliable Store again.

This order(49786) was placed 31st August 2022

According to their own tracking app, these items arrived in South Africa and cleared customs on 03/10/2022. On 18th October, I queried the lack of delivery, and was informed that there was an issue with a COVID outbreak among their staff.

On the 21st October, I received a small part of the shipment, one item that was advertised and priced as a batch of 5 was only supp**** as a single, The most expensive single item was not even supp****.

That means that out of a Total Order of R 2 350.00, only R 850.00 worth of goods have been supp****.

I am fully aware that these on-line shopping sites claim to have the item in stock - the truth is that they are actually "in stock" somewhere in China.

As a result, one can expect that there is potential for problems and mishaps.

The big issue is when after repeated email queries they have made no actual attempt to even return a person-written email in return.

Their last communication to me was 4th November, and since then have completely ignored any further attempt by me to contact them.

In short, I have been short-changed R 1 500.00 on a R 2 350.00 order, and at this stage appear to have no recourse, as they are simply ignoring me.
