Unfair Student treatment for resubmission

I am currently doing my post grad in digital marketing with Regent Business School. One of the subject assignment results came out mid week last week and i had to resubmit. Due to health issues, on the day of resubmission i was not well and had been on heavy medication, which was Sat (01 Nov). I returned to duty yesterday (03 Nov) and had reached out to the student support to submit my Dr note and get clarity on exception to resubmit. I spoke to a guy named Sbusiso Jokweni and he reached out to relevant department which then got back to me advising that exception has been accepted and will be open for me until 11:59pm same day. Had to finalize the assignment and to my surprise the portal was not open when i attempt to submit. Send him an email with the DR's note and assignment at 21:34 as i failed to submit due to portal. I was surprised today i was told that the exception was declined and i feel its unfair to be so inconsiderate. I was sick after all and evidence was submitted within 2 days. i deserve an opportunity to resubmit.
