Re-registration gone wrong.

I recently re-registed for financial management. To my disappointment I was not advised by the student advisor that workshops have already commerced and I have an assignment due in a week time. I feel hard done by the student advisor because had he/she told me I would have registed next year. Now I am under pressure and feel unprepared. I struggle alot with this subject and a catch up is going to be hard. I asked the consultant if I could do it next year, the consultant tell me to get a deferral which cost almost a R1 700. I have already lost for much repeating the module, I can't afford that. The student advisor then tells me to get an extension for assignment. Which I feel is unfair considering the others started last month already. I honestly wish I had not registered this time because now I am chasing the deadlines. It is frustrating bc I even missed the first workshop. What even gets to me more is the student advisor got his/her commision and now he does not even respond to my e-mails anymore.
