Paid for Studies, Got Silence, Stress, and a “Do Not Call” Label
I paid registration for a Postgraduate Diploma at Regent Business School. Instead of allocating the funds correctly, I was later told they were app**** to an old debt that prescribed over a decade ago - which is not legally enforceable.I was assured this would be rectified and that I could commence studies. After two weeks of silence, I followed up and was shocked to learn there was a “Do Not Call Student” note under my name. I submitted my refund request on 11 April. It’s now 13 May, and still no refund. Every time I call, I’m told it’s “in the payment queue.” Week after week and still nothing. This has disrupted my academic year, which I’ve now completely missed out on, and caused unnecessary stress, which I don’t believe they even care about. Does anyone know if reporting this to the ombudsman will help? I’m honestly at my wit’s end.
