Unacceptable Service and Lack of Accountability from Regent Business School

I am deeply disappointed by the lack of communication and support from Regent Business School regarding an issue that has been ongoing for over five months. Despite numerous attempts to resolve this matter privately, I have been met with silence, unhelpful responses, and a complete lack of accountability.

Due to technical failures on the school’s online portal, I was unable to access assignment due dates for my Business Process April 2024. I reached out multiple times—via the portal, chats, and phone calls—but received no assistance. By the time the new interface was introduced, I had already missed the deadlines and was unfairly penalized, failing the courses by a narrow margin of 4–6 marks.

What’s worse is that Regent has insisted I pay R750 to rewrite the courses, without addressing the technical issues that caused this situation or even acknowledging their responsibility. This is unacceptable from an institution that claims to prioritize online learning.

The last response I received from Regent was two months ago, with no resolution provided. This delay has not only affected my academic progress but also highlights how poorly the institution supports its students.

As someone studying through my employer, this experience raises serious concerns for other employees considering Regent Business School. If the institution cannot ensure a reliable platform or responsive communication, how can it justify its role as an education provider?

I have given Regent Business School ample opportunity to resolve this matter fairly and professionally. Unfortunately, their repeated failure to act has left me no choice but to take this issue public.

I hope this post sheds light on the challenges students are facing and prompts Regent to take accountability for their actions—or lack thereof. Students deserve better.
