Be careful when buying from Reebok online. I wouldn't.

I get severe arch pain in my feet when I wear hard, unsupportive shoes.

My current shoes were getting old so I decided to browse the internet for a new pair. I came across some Reebok Flip Flops that I thought looked really nice. They were R450. I’ve bought a few of their products before. Some were nice, some weren't, but I was fami**** with the brand so I decided to go for it.

This was my first time using their online store.

One of the emails I received stated that “Great news, your delivery is on its way! Our courier will patiently wait for you to try on your items.”

When the shoes were delivered to my address. This did not happen. I asked the courier why he wouldn’t wait for me to try it on first. To which he rep****. I can wear the shoe and if it doesn’t fit me or I am unhappy with it. I have 14 days to return it. Which is true. It does state when checking out that you have 14 days to return the item if you are not happy.

I was on my way to the mall when the courier delivered my item so I decided this was a good time to try out my new shoes. I went to the mall and as I was walking around I realized the shoe was very hard and uncomfortable.

I was disappointed after reading that they were, as stated on the website. “The soft moulded EVA upper provides comfort and support. Made of water-friendly material, they're built for easy on and off.” I did not agree.

When I got home I took them off and logged a return.

After a few days I received an email from Reebok asking if the shoes had been worn. To which I rep**** yes. I did wear them briefly to the mall and back for about 20 minutes and discovered that I did not agree with Reebok saying they were soft and supportive.

A few more days go by and I receive another email telling me that due to the shoes being worn I will not be able to return them or receive my money back due to them not being in a resellable condition. Which is written in their return policy.

Reeboks return policy “

Criteria to return an item A return must be logged within 14 days of being delivered to qualify for free returns. All products must be in a re-saleable condition and in its original packaging with all labels attached. Any free promotional gift must also be included in the return. Due to hygienic reasons, swimwear and underwear cannot be returned. Should you wish to return something after the 14 days please contact our Customer Service team who will advise you accordingly. Should your item be defective, please refer to section 2.” I do not agree with Reebok. I do not agree that wearing a shoe for a brief while makes it not re-saleable. I feel it is written deliberately vague like this so that they can refuse any item if they so choose. It’s a shoe. Obviously people are going to wear their shoes to see if they like it, but I guess telling customers that the shoe must be in a brand new state and can’t be worn doesn’t give the same amount of return security. Only after they have your money will they make it clear to you. I feel **** to due to their false advertising of the “soft comfortable“ shoe and I feel I was treated very badly and unfairly by Reebok Online. I feel that there was no effort made to even try to come to an ultimatum seeing as I was a paying customer. I was basically told to suck it up and it was my own fault for wearing the shoe. I understand their point but they did not even try to understand mine. So now I am stuck with shoes that I do not want and R450 less. I will link photos below so anyone can make up their own mind if the shoes were not in resellable condition. I will not be supporting Reebok anymore because they only care about profit and do not care about their customers' happiness.
