Shocking communication and customer relations

I am beyond fumming. RBS installed fiber in my complex, then after a number of calls to me that all seemed like marketing calls and I expressed interest in there service they arrived to install my router.

After the line was activated I was now worried that they had set me up with the incorrect line speed so I sent an email to them asking for the invoice (I had not seen any invoice or written terms and conditions or agreement yet) in the email requesting the invoice I put 10mbps in the subject line as well as in bold in the Email body. The next day I recieved an email for a 25mbps line. I was now away in the Kruger but when I say the mail I requested that they change the line to a 10mbps line.

I was told that I had to give 30days notice to downgrade. (Once again this had never been communicated to me in marketing) however I requested that they down grade me 30days from when I informed them that it should be a 10mbps line. They refused this request and consequently I agreed to accept the downgrade 8 days later than I felt it should of been. Consequently I contacted another service provider to move to them. I then informed RBS that I would like to cancel my service with them to which they agreed. 7days after agreeing to the downgrade.

Then to my shock I recieved another invoice for a full month of 25mbps line. When I queried this I was told that they could only process either the downgrade or the cancellation at one time, and I would have to pay yet another month of 25mbps line.

Moral of the story.... Never ever ever enter into any agreement with RBS they will play every underhanded decietful trick that they can to squeeze every penny they can from you.
