Beware the empty promises of Real Broadband Solutions. My complex was supposed to have a live fibre connection end of March as per Real Broadband Solutions. This is the timeline and communications I received from Real Broadband Solutions.

2018-01-14 : Metro Fibre notified that they are rolling out in Highveld 2018-01-24 : "The installation will be free, and we will begin with that in the next 2 weeks. There is a once off activation fee of R599 for connectivity." 2018-02-08 : "We will be starting the installation in the next 2 weeks so we will be done at the beginning of March, Activation of the service is dated for the end of March but we are moving quickly so we will be able to activate sooner I’m sure." 2018-02-14 : I send through my application form 2018-03-08 : "In terms of the network outside, we’re on track to have the complex go live by the end of March. However we still need to do the internal reticulation in the complex. We are speaking to the trustees to expedite the signing off of the site plans so that we begin the installation so we will keep you posted. He did not keep me updated I send follow up 2018-03-21 email and received no answer. I only receive an answer 2018-03-27 2018-03-28 : I notify Real Broadband Solutions that my Cell C contract is expiring and I need internet access for my work. I need to know if I have to take out a new contract or wait for the fibre. 2018-03-28 : "Should we not be able to stick to these timelines, I’ll let you know 2 weeks in advance as that will give you some time to speak to Cell C about a temporary extension." 2018-03-28 : "Our main network in Highveld is already live." 2018-04-12 : "I am happy to say that we have finally gotten the sign-off and go ahead. We are arranging for a kick-off meeting for Saturday from the looks of things." 2018-04-14 : "The meeting went well! We are starting the installation on Wednesday the 18th." 2018-04-16 : "For the installation, the teams starts first with the backbone installation and then moves over to the TP installs into the home. The guys can start at your unit but we’ll still need to complete the entire installation before we can go live. On the looks of things they can be done in 3 to 5 weeks with the full reticulation but it could also be shorter." 2018-04-25 : "Things are looking up in a big way. The guys on site are ready to start booking appointments for the home installs so the backbone should be done already or close to it." 2018-05-14 : "The network POP should be live this week." Should be 2 weeks and then the complex is activated, so we are looking at end of May for the activation of the complex" 2018-05-21 : I follow up. 2018-05-21 : "Still looking like end of May" 2018-05-28 : I follow up. 2018-05-29 : “now it looks like 2-3 weeks.”

2018-06-04 : Still no feedback and no internet connection!!! Only empty promises and false advertising!!!
