Bad service

I have been a customer of Readers Warehouse for years and had my first negative experience today at Norwood Mall. I picked up two books at a bargain table marked at R100 each only to reach the counter, have the books scanned and the cashier joke about how I missed the sale. Apparently, I would qualify for the discount only if I came 2 weeks earlier or a week later. When I asked why the books had the discounted prices on the label if I wasn't being charged that price, the staff became defensive and ganged up on me, telling me that there were in fact two prices on the label and I would be paying the higher price. As the books were already rang up prior to this information being shared, I paid and left. There was no apology for the misunderstanding and I was treated as if I was in the wrong. Shocked by the bad service.
