Insufficient funds on card after load

I went to the Rea Vaya station in Commissioner Street, Johannesburg (Chancellor House West) on Monday the 29th September at about 13:45 to load my card. Later on at about 17:45 i tried to access the station and found that the card had insufficient funds, I immediately checked my balance only to find that there were no funds at all on it. One of the employees at the station asked for my receipt when I queried how there was no money while I had loaded earlier on and unfortunately at that time I had thrown away the receipt as I usually do after every recharge and was told there's nothing that can be done for me without that receipt. So I had to again load another R120 into the card which was a financial loss to me as customer while it was the employees incompetence (who also talking on the phone when he was assisting me the first time and even the day after the incident when I went reload) that was responsible for this mishap. So my question is doesn't I company like Rea Vaya have some kind of system such audit trail for such situations because it's not everyone that keeps their receipt after loading to assist customers in the same situation that I'm in?
