************** against the differently able-bodied
I'm so heartbroken... I'm getting different negative experiences everyday and every afternoon, what I can tell is that Rea Vaya management is hiring *********** and heartless individuals. Not everyone is bad there but majority of these bus drivers are heartless. I'm physically challenged/wheelchair bounded from Zone 8 Meadowlands West. I'm catching the bus at the Sasol garage in Zone 6 Meadowlands to work, i would get to the bus stop at around 05:50 and what's happening is 3 to 4 C6 buses to Milpark will pass by with one story, saying that the wheelchair lifts are not working, some are saying that with angry faces, some are not even providing proof regarding the matter they just say n move on I'll end up catching a bus at around 07:00 & get to work very late. The sad part is that we're a minor people who are using wheelchairs and I don't understand why these lifts are always not working, why if the lift is not working today not reporting at the depot so that the wheelchair bounded can be assisted?. I just think that the Rea Vaya bus drivers are just mistreating us since we're physically challenged and thinking that we're a burden to them and it is totally unfair and unacceptable. They feel entitled with these buses, they don't want to be told anything, whether they're right/wrong.
Rea Vaya as management is failing us and these issues need to be fixed as soon as possible. We're really suffering and it's happening everyday and every afternoon. Last night as I was returning hone from work a C6 bus driver left me behind as I was trying to get inside the bus without even saying a word.
It's really bad.
