Customers should not suffer for ABSA AND Rea Vaya cards that are not working!!!

Hello Peter,

I had a horrable experience this morning at the millpark station, as i was traying to load trips into my rea vaya card, i was then informed by David that my ticket can not load anytrips as "as some of these cards have a problem". well my card happened to be one of them, he told me to go and find alternative transport and stop stalling the line. I insisted that he attends to me and he told me that there is a problem between ABSA and REA VAYA, and there are emails that are being tossed to and from and the ABSA IT department is struggling to solve the card problem. I then asked him why should i be part of their problem and he said it was ABSAs problem and that he can not help me. He kept on calling the call centre and they were not able to help me. He then started verbally attacking me telling me not to spoil his day, that i should go and sort out my problem and stop spoiling his day. I had no alternative transport and Rea VAYA, was my only option since Metro was on strike.

I was practically forced out of the REA VAYA and David told me to stop spoiling his day. There were other passengers that tried to mediate one lady even told them that she was allowed to use the bus because she was not at fault. David insisted that it was not his problem therefore he will not help me, he was just doing his job and that doesn't include explaining the same thing over and over again.

I had to walk for close from the Millpark to the Parktown/ Constitutional hill area and was attacked by three guys with a knife but managed to get away -help from some taxi driver, who was going the opposite direction.

I was appolled at the REA VAYA services, they are barely 7 years and their service has gone to the dogs. I called their line ********** - Rick answered the phone and tranfered me to some line that i waited for 20 minutes and 37 seconds, when hy airtime ran out. my point is, if ABSA and REA VAYA has a problem, why should i suffer, i bought the rea vaya card, it was not donated to me and i work far to hard to spend my hard earned money on people with poor customer services. their problem s of hiring incompitant IT people should not impact on my safety as a customer. REA VAYA should have done their research first before getting a system that might not work 100% and please customer service is imparative for people like David, i was not the only one complaining some of your stuff members as well as other customers.

I'm hoping to get my reimbursment for the card and the money in my card because, i refuse to be illtreated and still pay, I work far too hard for my money!!!
