Bus trip card not available for purchase

Saturday 06/02/2015 I wanted to use the reavaya bus from Media Park Auckland Park station to Park Station 1st the attendant @ the kiosk was on the phone took 5 mins to acknowledge me just to inform me I must walk to the next station which is a kilometer away to purchase a card for the bus when I arrived the attendant there told me the same thing I was now walking 2 km's to purchase a card to use the bus when I got the the UJ station I could eventually purchase the card but the attendant there was unable to activate the card I must go to the next station which was Helen Joseph to activate the card I was now almost 3 km's away from the initial station walking along the reavaya route just to purchase a card to use the bus? Does this make sense a pedestrian must walk km's in order to get a bus card and activate it needless to say my card is still not activated I was told to take the bus to Library gardens station and activate there I wasn't prepared to spend all of my Saturday along the reavaya route.
