Bullying by Staff Members

Yesterday the 27/03/2017, I boarded a bus from Old Synagogue Westbound to Thokoza Park. We got off at the Ellis Park Station, a large number of people waited for the bus to return. This we do because, for the past two weeks (and some people have said for the longest of time, going back to January) we have been waiting at the Old Synagogue East bound station with no buses on sight, instead we boarding the bus very late. Buses will drive past empty, and when we ask the staff at that station they would tell us that they have been called to tend to the other people at the other bus stops, yet they dont call to get buses to our station so that people may also leave. So my question is, the people at the other stations, are they more important and want to get home on time, that we have to leave late at the station. I would get to the station at the Old Synagogue at 16:30 and only board a bus at 18:30 even later at times cause they all pass there full. So, We take the bus to Ellis Park and board an empty bus, however, yetserday was a diferent story. Two ticket tech guys, a lady by the name of Fransina Mametse and a guy Katlego Baloyi, saw us walk out of the bus at Ellis Park, with the staff of Rea Vaya sitting and having an nice chat in my opionion. Non of them told us that we had to tap out and tap in again cause the trip we had taken had ended. Instead, when the bus started to move, they started to check the cards, and accused us of trying to ***** the system. We were told that we were suppose to tap out at Ellis Park and tap in again, and told us that there was a penalty of R24.00 that they needed to charge. When I refused to have that money charged to the card, and told Katlego Baloyi to give it to me since I did not have money to waist, he informed me that he too did not have that kind of money in his possession, however I still needed to pay. We were told to get of the bus at Library Gardens East Bound, as we did that, they kept telling us to pay the penalty but there was no clear explanaition of why we neded to pay that penalty fee. I told them I wanted their supirior to come to the bus stop and explain to me why I had to be charged a penalty, since it did not make sence to me. I had not left the Rea Vaya station at Ellis Park, and my trip to Thokoza Park was still continuing. Their supirior told them that we can either pay the penalty, or wait for Metro Police. A gentle man from the station at Library Gardens tried to intervien, however, failed. The Metro Police came, and they too asked if this information was ever communicated to the commutors that if we take a bus to Ellis Park, upon arrival, we would need to tap out and then inn again, howeverm they too were ot given a proper answer. So here are my questions to the Rea Vaya Management: 1. Who is suppose to get home early as opposed to the other, just because at the bus station where they get their buses, their staff care more for them than they do at Olg Synagogue ( this was said to me by the Ticket Tech Francina Mametse)? 2. When was it ever communicated to the passangers that, when you board a bus from a station to another, mainly Ellis Park, you need to tap out and then in again cause your trip has ended? 3. Did we need to be kept at the Library Gardens Station from 18:05 to 19:46, just because Rea Vaya staff wanted to show how supirior they are to their passangers? 4. Why did their manager or supervisor not come and speak to us him/herself to tell that to our faces, but we were threatened with Metro Police Offers, whom, by the way, also did not know how to handle the issue? Why does Rea Vaya think that they can do as they please to passanger because they think thy are the only reliable source of transport there is in Gauteng, Johannesburg? In the mornings we have the same issue, since someone decided tht most of the T1 Thokoza Park Station to Ellis Park buses had to be reduced, and instead introduced the T1 Express, which only travels until Carlton Centre. I still ask this question. The people working in Johannesburg CBD are the most important that they have to get to and from work on time, and the rest of us working pass joburg, are just mere rats who have to walk and see to finish how they resolve their transport situations? If Rea Vaya is no longer able to take care of us the commutors, then let someone else take over and do the right thing. YOU FAIL IN CUSTOMER SERVICE! YOU FAIL IN CUSTOMER INTERACTIONS! YOUR SYSTEMS ARE 99.9999% OF THE TIME OFF LINE. The service we are getting now from you has gone up in smokes from the time Rea Vaya was first introduced. YOU ARE PETHETIC AND INCOMPITENT.
