Disgusting Edgars

I want to express my opinion of the treatment I have received from Edgars which I can only describe as disgusting and despite already putting a review on this site I have not received and communication.

I opened my Edgars account in circa 1984 and always paid on time and never defaulted. Six or seven years ago I realized Edgars prices were exorbitant and the clothes were not to my taste so I stopped using my card. So what a shock I got when all of a sudden I was being Harassed by for R117 I owed them so knowing I had not used my card I ignored them thinking it was another ****. When I did query what the R117 was for I was told Service, what ****** service I have not set foot you their store for six years. They then proceeded to phone me three or four times every week over Christmas, I am a pensioner and just cannot afford their non service charges, I have told them over and over again I will pay it as and when I can, why are they chasing me when so many people owe them thousands and have no intention of paying. I should not be surprised of their disgusting conduct as after my daughter paying into their funeral insurance for many years and was lead to believe the money would be paid out with in days. Unfortunately my daughter died in 2011 of Cancer and told me I must make the claim on Edgars when she died as she was leaving behind two teenager daughter. Imagine how upset and angry I was after months of visiting Edgars Cape Gate every week expecting the payment but was fobbed off with every excuse under the sun. It took my husband to go into the store and make a scene demanding to see the manager that we were paid out to help our granddaughters. Disgusting service and little wonder their stores are failing.
