Bad service

I have an active debit order, but they did not deduct. I received messages that my account was referred to their collections department, I even got a letter of demand. I called their offices, nobody could explain why they didn't deduct. I paid immediately. But this has affected my credit score negatively. I sent them an email to rectify this, up until now, no feedback.
