RCI - Timeshare ****!

There should be an option to give no stars.

We are timeshare holders at Umhlanga Sands- Tsogosun (which falls under RCI) for numerous years now. Since Covid we could not use our timeshare and space banked it to be able to use our points at another resort or at a later stage.

Meanwhile, we have moved to the Westen Cape from the North West, so going to Umhlanga Sands is not that convenient anymore. We have 33000 points that we would like to use, but since March this year RCI can not manage to get us any bookings at any resorts in and around Cape Town for any weekend until the end of the year, nor can they get us anything during the school holidays since June this year. So, now my question is, what can I do with my points if they have NOTHING AVAILABLE? PLUS SOME OF THE POINTS ARE GOING TO EXPIRE SOON. So don't let them trick you into believing that you can use your points if you live in the Western Cape, because that is BS. Another big complaint I have with them is, trying to place my name on a waitlist for some resorts. So, I phone and speak to a very "competent" consultant that promises me to place my name on a waitlist for a certain resort for a certain time, just to find out the next week, when I follow up, that it has not been done, then that consultant assures me that they will do it and then just like the previous time when I phone, it has not been done. So, now I have 33000 useless points, but I must keep on paying my levies at the resort, for more useless points.
