******** Rental Agreement

I leased a property through Rawson in Witbank (Emalahleni) and terminated my lease earlier than expected due to employment transfer. The agency was able to get a tenant on the same month I was moving out, meaning that in principle there is no loss in income. I am now in a predicament where I have lost my entire deposit although a new tenant was obtained. The reasons for my deposit being retained being: (1) Re-advertising fees; (2) Commission due from the Landlord to the Rawson during the course of the lease agreement.

I understand the re-advertising fees, but the commission due from the landlord is absolute *******. In this sense, the agency is making double the commission ********ly so.

Be very wary of signing rental agreements with Rawson.
