Rawsons Properties unacceptable service

I bought a house through Rawson properties, the process started in December 2019. The house was registered in my name in May, which then suggests that the previous owner should move out. When l wanted to move in l was now told that the previous owner is refusing to move out because he was not given enough time to look for another place. My question is did the agent not advice the seller accordingly since we were all receiving status updates.

I was then told that they advice him that.j he will have to pay occupational rent for the month he stayed in the house, which he did not. I spoke to the agent who has been assisting me this is what she said: "I have been following up with the attorneys and they saying they haven't received the refund from the rates council as yet. and the previous owner is not responding to my calls" Now where does all this leave me?

The sad part is that the first bond payment was debited plus l had to pay rent where l was staying at that time, now that really affected my budget but time, especially since it was lock down. I have been waiting for my occupational rent since June 2020 to date.
