RAWSONS NORTHRIDING DISHONEST AND UNPROFESSIONAL

As many before me, I urge tenants NOT to use Rawsons as an agent if they have any hope of recovering their deposit . We moved into a rented property for 3 years. The property was in a shocking state and we went about improving the property, at our own cost. We left the property in good condition. When we moved in, after the inspection was done, we noticed that there was a small cut out - about the size of a brick, right against the wall in the main bedroom, which would not have been noticed since the cut out was placed very neatly over the area. We merely placed our bed over it - and forgot about it, assuming that Rawsons had done their inspection efficiently and noted it. (As a matter of interest, there was a broken tile in the entrance hall which was also not noted by Rawsons - again we left it at that, assuming it was noted in the inspection).R5000.00 is now being withheld to replace the entire carpet in the bedroom and the pyjama lounge next to the bedroom. It just boils down to dishonesty and shocking business etiquette. Taryn Steven was rude and discourteous on many occasions. I have reported Rawsons Northriding to the Estate Agents Board.
