Rawson Property, the definition of incompetence.

Just a heads-up to anyone considering Rawson. Proceed with caution. Here are my experiences in the past 12 months. I made an enquiry to view a property listed by Rawson Northriding. I was sent the address, viewed and then requested the application to secure. I was told I was successful and then sent the lease. I noticed on the lease the address was different to the property I viewed. After enquiring, I discovered that Rawson has sent me to the wrong property. I was then pressurised to sign the lease ' because there were a number of people on standby'. I asked if I could see the apartment before I committed to the lease. At their reluctance, I was arranged a viewing of the correct property, but informed that the unit would not be available for another month than requested, but if I wanted it I would have to commit immediately. I agreed, as I needed to move out of my current unit with the lease expired, and moved into try brother's spare room for the month. Towards the end of the month I was contacted by Rawson asking if I wanted to move in early as the unit had become empty. I let them know I was in no rush, but if the unit was ready I would move early. I had to pay in advance (including a pro-rata charge). When I moved in the unit was filthy, cupboards still sticky and black mould covering the shower. When I enquired as to why the unit was in such a disgusting condition, the response was 'there was no time to clean the unit as I had rushed them for occupancy...' At no point, through the entire lease, did Rawson assist with any requests for repairs, with just broken promises saying they were arranging with their contractors, who never arrived. The owner of the property has let me know how he feels completely ********** by Rawson as the fees demanded have crippled their investment opportunity. Good luck to you if decide on Rawson.
