Rawson Properties - Northcliff - Pathetic service - will never use them again.

My husband and I rented a unit from a Rawson Agent (Wayne) in March 2021. We viewed the unit twice and queried the way water, electricity etc would be charged. The agent **** about the way water was being charged, saying that each unit has an individual water meter and even went on to say that it could cost us approx R300pm, obviously dependent on usage. After getting the statement for March, we were informed that the water was split amongst the adults on the property which we feel is unfair, especially since there are at least 6 kids aged under 12 on the property, which resulted in us being charged R745. In April we have been charged R1232 just for two adults. We weren't even in Gauteng for the first week in April and I find it absolutely ridiculous that we have been charged almost double when compared to March 2021. Upon querying this with Rawson, we were advised that there is nothing they can do as it is our word against the agents and they would obviously take the agents side. Their service is absolutely ridiculous. They were quick to make us sign the lease but no longer respond when we try to query the lies that were spewed when we viewed the property. Absolutely pathetic service and we will definitely not be using Rawson again in the future. I highly advise everyone to rethink using their services. if you do decide to use them, please make sure you get the agents on record when they explain anything so that you can always have proof should they lie about something.
