Please be careful when purchasing a home from Rawson In 2018 - we purchased a home from Rawson the Helderkruin branch. 185 Wilde Amandel Martin is the agent Estelle is the principal.

They sold us a home without having building plans on hand from the owner knowing he made alterations, they told us the agent isn’t responsible for this. Fair enough, Weeks went by with NO feedback from Martin the agent. Just the same feedback every week from the attorneys saying that they await building plans to be approved. Nobody returned or took out calls so we went to visit Estelle from Rawsons the principal, hoping she would help us but she chased us away from her premises and kicked us off because she didn’t have time to see us she was too busy with month end work we didn’t have an “appointment” And I have the recording if anyone would like to see how rude she was to us. Yet had plenty time to sign the OTP with us in her office without having an appointment. Pop me a DM if you would like to hear it.

Fair enough still we waited but the REAL issue came into place when:

1.) we viewed a 3 bedroom main house with 3 one bedroom cottages on the premises.

Here is the twist!

2.) in order for building plans to be approved they had to restructure, and breakdown walls of the house so that the building plans may be approved by the council thus changing what we initially viewed and we no longer wanted the house anymore because they demolished one cottage, and killed the rental income we wanted to receive from it.

We therefor cancelled and Rawsons won’t pay back our deposit and are suing us for their commission.

Be CAREFUL!! Don’t make the same mistake we did please, they are ruthless unprofessional and don’t show sympathy. They all about money and will sue you for every last cent, I don’t want this to happen to anyone else, just please be careful.
