Lack of Action - Still awaiting Refund
I rented a property from RAWSON for 3 years from 1 March 2013, lease terminating on 1 March 2016. As we had purchased a property, we moved out a week early and the outgoing inspection was conducted early.<br> <br> I found out that, because the outgoing inspection was conducted early, RAWSON provided the new tenant with the keys to the property 3 days early, permitting them to therefore move in. I then queried the refund of rent for these days, surely they couldn't claim double rent in this time? Since then, Rawson have been very clever to play me off the new tenant - forwarding his emails to me, and no doubt mine to him, whilst they remain the \innocent party\" in this debate.<br> <br> As far as I am concerned, the lack of judgement in allowing the new tenant to move in early, and not arranging for payment of the rent with him, is the fault of the rental agency and they should be liable. <br> <br> Their refusal to acknowledge or solve this is both frustrating, and *********.
