Raw Chem is a no-no

Their rep came to see us about the product, and we mentioned that we would be willing to purchase 25 litres to test the product before committing to any further purchases. The telephone recording confirms that the original order between the rep and us, and also that the original order was for “one box of 25 litres”. In laymans terms, this comprises one box containing 25 litres, and not, one box containing fifty x 25 litres. We received the order, assuming that it was the 25 litres as discussed. When the second 25 litres arrived six months later on 24.06.2024, we contacted RawChem to inform them that it was an error, and it was kept aside in order to arrange for collection. By the time the third 25 litres arrived, an email was sent, requesting the collection of the stock as it was not ordered. Subsequently, demands for payment have been made, with the only documentation being a single delivery note which doubled as a ‘Confirmation of order". Requests to confirm the original sale with the rep have been declined, although it now remains questionable as we dealt with one person and the manager/ legal department stated that someone else was the rep who, conveniently, is among 250 in a call centre and whose number could not be provided.
