Funeral policy with Rand Mutual

They are the underwriters for Brummer funeral policies in Graaff Reinet. I have been trying to get information and explanations for someone that is illiterate who has 2 funeral policies. 1 is for R5000, the other for R10,000. The R5,000. Has run since 2006 and monthly payments are / were R30. To date he has paid about R6,480. The other R10,000.he took out in 2012 and has paid about R12,027. The monthly payment was R75. This has now been hiked to R267.50 if combined the totel is R498.75 . This is insane as he is 84 years old and living of a SASA grant. He can cancel and walks away with nothing and they pocket the R18,500. Plus, the interest. Absolutely ********!!!! According to the funeral palour many have already canceled . Thus needs to be further investigated.
