Unproffesional and dishonesty

I ordered a phone from vodacom on the 27th of May 2019 and on the 30th i received an sms from Ram saying that my order will be delivered within 72 working hours, i also received a tracking number, on monday the 3rd of June i tracked my order and it said they tried to contact me and my phone was on voicemail and i did not get any missed call or any message of a missed call, the following day i tracked again and it was the same story, them i spoke to Marlon of the live chat that they have on their webside and He said they will call me an hour before they deliver and i told him that if i dont get my order by the end of the day they must send it back to vodacom, to my suprise on 06 June i received a call that they will be delivery and i told them i was not at work and they said they will deliver the next day, today i called them and they said my order was taken back because they tried t deliver 3 times and they failed, why did they not tell me that they will take the order back, it is very unproffesional what they did and they should be honest with people.
