Refused to deliver SIM twice - with valid identification and proof of residence
RAM refused to deliver a SIM to me TWICE saying that "I don't have a proof of address"
I rent from my Mother.
I had with me on both occasions: ID Water & Electricity Bill (Mother's name) Police Affidavit confirming my address Mother's affidavit confirming address Rental Agreement Passport
And they still refused to deliver it saying that it isnt good enough. That I need a water and electricity bill with my name on it. So according to RAM they wont deliver to you unless you own a property.
The worst service I've ever experienced. And this happened twice. Even after calling their head office and trying to sort it out and getting a confirmation that they would deliver.

Please note that we deliver parcels according to the sender's instructions only. The sender requires a POR document that is under your name.
These can be obtained from your bank in the form of a bank statement. You can also take all those documents you have to the municipality, and they will make a proof of residence that will be valid for three months.
I hope you understand all that is required for delivery and you can contact us to redeliver the parcel for you.

With all the list of documents aforementioned, you can obtain a proof of residence of your own (no need to be wealthy). You also do not need to have property and assets to belong to a household.
