RAM Couriers and Vodacom - a toxic combination

During the week of 26 September, RAM couriers were supposed to deliver a Vodacom handset. I received a call from them to confirm the delivery address. I spelled out our complex name 3 times or more to the agent. I also stated that the parcel should not be delivered on the Thursday as I was undergoing chemotherapy on the day. The agent confirmed that it would be delivered on the Friday. On the Thursday morning I received an SMS from RAM stating that it would be delivered on that day at another complex in our street. I phoned RAM, saying that I am not at home and I asked the agent to correct the address. When I asked the agent to confirm that the parcel would be delivered on the Friday he asked me to hold the line. After several minutes the line went dead. I did not receive a call back and the parcel was not delivered on the Friday. During the following week I phoned RAM to ask where my parcel is. An agent called Dikgeledi Kgatla said because I changed the delivery address they have queried the delivery with Vodacom. I told her that the address was not changed, I corrected the address that was taken down incorrectly by one of their agents. She said there is nothing she can do for me and only after I asked her name and threatened to inform Head Office of the poor service did she raise another query with Vodacom and arrange for the parcel to be delivered. I again made sure she understood that I am at the oncology centre for chemotherapy on the Thursday. I again received an SMS on the Thursday morning stating that the parcel would be delivered on that day. I don't know if RAM made a delivery attempt on the day, but I certainly did not receive a call from the company to find out where I am. It is now almost a month since my first contact with RAM. Was my handset ******?

Reviewer Update
Dear Zanele,

Not even one single attempt was made to deliver the device. If there was an attempt, why were we not called via the intercom system at the gate of our complex? Whether we are at home or not, we will receive that call. If the intercom system was down for some reason, why was I not called by the driver or an agent? While I appreciate your swift response to my review, please do try and get to the bottom of this for your other customers' sake.
1. I never changed the delivery address, I corrected the address that was incorrectly taken down by your agent.
2. Despite telling 3 agents NOT to try and deliver on my chemotherapy days, delivery was scheduled on those days every single time.
3. The number of delivery attempts cannot possibly be exceeded as no attempts were made.
I fully expect Vodacom to refuse to give me a handset now, seeing as RAM has already delivered mine according to their records. I have to ask again - was that device ******?
