Ram cooking the books to make themselves look good
I am expecting a package from Vodacom, and this morning I received an message from Ram to confirm my package is out for delivery. I checked the Website and the same was confirmed on the site.
I made arrangements to work from home, and worked while waiting for the driver. When I checked again after 15:00 on the Ram website, I saw the following message:
RAMMobile NonDelivery - Unavailable - Home - No one at home.
This annoyed me as I was at home at that time, so I went onto their site and started a Watsapp chat, where I spoke to a consultant. The consultant informed me that the message left was a mistake from the team.
If this was a error on Ram's side, why does your website confirm that the client was not home, surely for audit trail purposes you should be honest about your short commings, as it now looks like the client was not available but instead you are in the wrong.
My second issue has to do with the consultant I chatted with who now informed me that if the delivery address changes (as I need to be at work tomorrow), they would have to check with the sender first, who in this case is Vodacom. My next question was, if Vodacom does not reply in time will my package be delayed, to which he did not answer.
This is very annoying as I am in desprate need of this device as my current phone cannot hold a charge.
At Ram you need to take ownership of your mistakes on your website as well.
