Ram can't understand Google Maps
So I ordered a new phone from Vodacom, more than a week ago giving them the delivery address in Kalkheuwel, Broederstroom. This address has worked before with multiple deliveries in the past.
They send the parcel to Ram couriers. Days tick by and nothing happens. I look at their tracking page and it looks from the indecipherable message there that there is some problem . I contact them via their Chat function and the guy tells me to send me the waybill. Of course I have no waybill. He then sends me the waybill (if he had it why ask me for it - idiot). I see the address on the waybill is incomplete and totally nonsensical. I send him the correct address. He says he will fix it.
Days tick by and nothing happens. I contact them again via chat. I get the same guy and same story. He wants me to send him the waybill that I don't have. After him sending me the waybill I see nothing has changed, still the wrong address. I send him the right address and then he disappears.
Again days tick by. Eventually I contact the helpdesk and tell them they have the wrong address. I again give them the right address. Long story short, I contacted them 6 times every time giving the correct address. Every time you contact them you get a trouble ticket, assigned to a different person, and soon thereafter I get a message that the ticket was "closed" as if the problem was resolved, which of course it hasn't been.
Eventually I got an SMS that they would deliver, and in the SMS they now had a different, but also incorrect address. I look at the tracker page and I see they have sent it to Rustenburg, trying to deliver it there. I again contact the helpdesk, explaining that Rustenburg and Broederstroom weren't the same place, but 90km apart, same story, a "ticket" generated assigned to someone, and shortly thereafter the ticket getting "closed".
From the tracker page I see that the delivery in Rustenburg had "failed" (surprise).
Again contact helpdesk, tell them they have the wrong address, give them the right address, even giving detailed instructions to get here, again ticket generated, and soon thereafter the ticket closed. Eventually a guy emailed me with a snotty attitude and told me that their address was correct (which it of course isn't), and that I must take it up with Vodacom. I asked to be put in contact with the supervisor, and up to this point no response.
