Poor delivery service

I don’t think RAM Hand To Hand Couriers is suitable for delivering parcels to individual persons as they tend to undermine the recipients, it looks like recipients need to literally beg to them before they can hand-over such parcels to them.

I phoned the delivery person immediately after not seeing him at my home gate after we communicated within less than 5 minutes, through the his cellphone and mine, that I was coming to the gate to collect the parcel. As I was phoning him I also saw the RAM van moving away from my home. He ignored my call 2 times and when he answered me during the 3rd time, he **** that he will phone me back but instead he disappeared away with my parcel.

The lady I phoned at their RAM offices says they don’t stay more than 5 minutes waiting at the delivery spot, it’s their rule. However my phone clearly shows the times we communicated, it was within 5 minutes. So it means the recipient should break his / her leg trying to rush to collect from the RAM van in 3 minutes time. I addition to that they can’t come back to leave the parcel even when being called while they are still in the vicinity of the delivery area.

They are so rude and it seems they hardly have interest in doing their delivery service. That’s why I initially said they may do a great job in delivering to companies that are always open like pharmacies but not individuals whose home gate is kept closed for safety reasons even though there are people inside.

Lastly I don’t understand why the driver doesn’t phone the customer at least 2 minutes prior to arriving just to confirm so that the customer will prepare to approach and open the gate just like Takealot deliver drivers are doing.
