Poor communication - no delivery

There seems to be an attitude of doing the bare minimum to ensure delivery happens. I only received a text at 7pm today to say my parcel was out for delivery, way after the time it was supposedly being delivered (between 8am and 5pm today). The drivers didn’t ring the doorbell, left one missed call and then left. As it’s a long weekend I’m assuming I’ll now only receive my parcel next week which is quite a long time to wait given I was barely given adequate notice that my parcel was arriving today.
