Pathetic service from RAM couriers
I utilize Bobshop as my primary platform for selling items online. As part of their service, Bobshop partners with various courier companies to facilitate the shipping of sold goods. Typically, the process—from arranging the courier to generating the waybill—is seamless and efficient. However, recent experiences with RAM Couriers have been increasingly problematic, resulting in customer dissatisfaction and misplaced blame directed at me.
On Monday, I scheduled a RAM pickup through Bobshop and specified in the collection instructions that the package should be collected after 3 PM, as I work from 7 AM to 3 PM and am unavailable to answer calls during that time. Despite this, the package has not been collected, and I continue to receive calls during my working hours. When I attempt to return the calls, they go unanswered.
By Wednesday, I opted to take the package directly to the RAM branch, a method I’ve successfully used with other courier companies. Typically, the staff simply scan the shipping label and accept the parcel without issue. However, at the RAM depot, the staff refused to process the shipment, claiming additional documentation was required—information that Bobshop’s system does not include on the label. This discrepancy between how RAM drivers handle labels and how the depot operates is both confusing and frustrating.
The service at the depot was disappointing. Staff made no effort to assist or understand the situation. I strongly recommend that RAM either train their staff to better accommodate Bobshop shipments or collaborate with Bobshop to ensure the labels meet depot requirements. Other courier services manage this process efficiently—scanning the label and completing the handover in under two minutes. RAM’s current approach is unnecessarily complicated and reflects poorly on their customer service.
