Pathetic Service

I app**** for an online upgrade from Vodacom on the 23rd of December. The phone was dispatched to RAM Pretoria on the 28th. I duly received a call from a lady confirming delivery details. I provided additional address details to her (Vodacom's system refused to accept my suburb). She confirmed that the delivery is on its way and required that I be at the delivery address between 8 and 5 the next day.

Late afternoon on Thursday the 29th, I received a very rude call from the driver. He was very "upset" that he couldn't find my address in Rosslyn. I explained that my address is not in Rosslyn but in Swacina Park, resorting under Pretoria Rural. He sounded furious as he didn't wanted to go "that way" and told me the delivery will have to be re-scheduled.

I received a call from a lady in their office explaining that the delivery will be postponed to the next day. I once again stressed to her that I will be going away the next day and asked her to confirm that the package WILL be delivered on Friday. She confirmed that it will definitely be done.

The morning of Friday 30th, I got an SMS stating that they called me to confirm delivery. I did not receive such a call, but waited for the delivery anyway. Around lunchtime I tried to phone to find out what was the status. Nobody answered the phone. I later called RAM head office and spoke to a lady there, explaining my situation. She also tried to contact the Pretoria branch on the phone. No response. Then she e-mailed them. No response. She kept on trying and later phoned me back stating that she can't get hold of anybody in the Pretoria branch.

The 31st we left on the trip. Late Saturday morning, around 11-ish, I received a call from a guy at RAM demanding to deliver. I explained to him that at that point I was already several hundred kilometres away. I tried to provide a forwarding address to him, and it took several tries before he could even repeat the address back to me.

Needless to say, I never heard from RAM again. On returning from my trip a few days later I learned that they simply send the package back to Vadacom stating that I wasn't available to deliver to.

I am still struggling to complete my transaction with Vadacom, but that is a different story.

Good Day,

I do apologize for the inconvenience caused to you due to the none delivery. Upon my investigation regarding the suburb details, I have noted that Authorization was requested from Vodacom to have this details update. This was supp**** late to Ram and this resulted in the parcel being delivered to you while you where on leave. Due to Ram then not being able to make delivery we then had to return the parcel to Vodacom so that they can resend this To you with all the correct address details.

Regards

Aldo

So your excuse for rude and lying personnel, and the fact that the Pretoria branch was AWOL is an authorisation from Vodacom. It's laughable what excuses you can come up with!!
