If bad service was a brick RAM would be a house
What can I say? I would never have used RAM again after my first experience a year ago, except vodacom gives me no option. So where shall we start. firstly my wife upgrades her phone and router on two black friday deals. We are told that the package will be delivered on the 4th. On wednesday the 4th we receive a message that the package is out for delivery. We are told on the sms and email (and every correspondance in the days to follow) that we need to have my wife's id. Nothing is mentioned about photocopies or proof of residence. By 17:00 no one has showed up and no one has contacted us. Using the tracking function provided it seems someone has logged some adres issue, which is funny because takealot uses this adres all the time without problems. On thursday I call and confirm my adres. I also confirm that we will not be available on friday, so delivery should be scheduled for monday. On friday (whilst away) we again get a message that the package is out for delivery. It seems the driver has no problem finding the place this time (guess he bothered to try) because tracking app shows that driver indicated that we are not at home (big surprise). On monday we get another message that package is out for delivery. We wait with baited breath. No one shows up. I call RAM at 17:00. Driver claimed he tried to call us but could not get through. There were ofcourse no such calls. So the agent calls the driver (whom he strugles to reach because his radio in his vehicle is broken) to come immediately. At 18:00 with rain pouring down the driver shows. So we give him the ID as was indicated but since we were not told about the other documents we find ourselves waving as the vehicle dissapears into the night still containing our package. Today we receive another the package is out for delivery message. I call to inform them that we are not home. I am told that the delivery will be cancelled and moved to tomorrow. yet one minute after the call a message comes through confiriming the earlier one that said that the package is out for delivery. So the driver will once again find us missing "if" he shows up today. And who knows, maybe the driver might make it actually when he needs to tomorrow. The sad part is that we upgraded two contracts so there is still another package in the near future.
