FRagile Package Delivered Smashed

I had a package of glasses delivered from Cape Town to Durban by RAM Hand To Hand Couriers. When it arrived in Durban today, 19 out of 64 glasses were smashed, not cracked, smashed. I declared the parcel as glass and was even charged a surcharge for this, which makes no sense at all because they ended up breaking it anyway. I requested a refund and received a letter from their legal department saying that they arent liable for fragile packages. Then why do they make you declare them as fragile and make you pay more???? They have since banned me from commenting on their facebook page so I cant even alert other consumers of their terrible service and how they treat their customers. <br> Please help me here, this is ridiculous and a great example of how businesses try and ***** the consumer when all they should have done is just refund me.
