Damages to property inflicted by RAM vehicle reg: DG 53 TV GP

I trust this mail finds you well, I would just like to formally lodge a complaint pertaining damage to property inflicted by one of your company vehicles, Ford Ranger reg DG 53 TV GP.

On Monday 13 September 2021 at approximately 10h57 AM, above vehicle delivered a package by my neighbor in Westridge Mitchell's plain.

After dropping off the package the driver drove over my lawn which I spend lots of money on, disregarding three massive white rocks I have placed outside to caution drivers not to driver over my lawn, the rocks has been placed as a preventative measure and painted white to make it visible even Stevie Wonder can see it. In the month of August I was forced to fork out R4500 in cash to install CCTV cameras in an attempt to catch culprits driving over my lawn. As a result the rocks was dragged by the vehicle damaging my lawn.

I live in a residential area about 20 meters away from Westridge High School, my area is also filled with elderly citizens. Not just was your driver in transgression of the National road traffic act (NRTA) but he also intentionally endangered the lives of scholars, elderly citizens and other public members making use of the side walk. The function of a sidewalk tacitly remains for usage of public members and not vehicles! I'm not sure if "driving on the sidewalk" is entrenched in the delivery policy by RAM couriers. I have a four year old child who normally play on the lawn, this driver could have knocked and killed my child had he played on the lawn when the incident occurred, so much could have gone wrong. I want compensation from RAM couriers for damages inflicted on my lawn/property as the driver operates under the authority of your company. I want this driver to be dealt with decisively as per your collective disciplinary code and procedure.

I'm flabbergasted by the level of professionalism exercised by your drivers whilst operational in the Mitchell's plain area. This conduct will not be experienced in your more affluent areas like Camps Bay and Sea Point. Why damage people's property when executing duty in Mitchell's Plain? Is it because we are colored people? Is it because we are to dark to be respected? Is it because RAM couriers don't respect the belongings and property of colored people?

I will definitely lodge a complaint on Hellopeter aswell.
