Bad service and suspicious behavior

I have two parcels that need to be picked up and I made out the waybills on Sunday. Monday came and the evening I saw on my tracking it said "Postponed - Sender Not Available" which was strange as I am at home 24 hours. I queried it on Tuesday morning and customer service assured me it will be picked up on Tuesday. Well, I waited the whole day and nobody came. At 17:30 I saw the RAM courier vehicle parked a couple of houses down street. I decided to go and inquire. As I walked towards the vehicle I saw the driver fiddling on his device/phone but before I got to him he drove off and did not even attempt to stop at my house. I immediately went back home and checked the status of my pickup. I was surprised to see the new comment "Postponed - Sender Not Available". I do not know what he gains by not picking up the parcel, maybe they get paid per attempt. This is not the first time I saw this type of suspicious behavior as the previous time I had to stop the driver in the street while waiting for them to pickup the parcel for 2 days. I just got lucky last time to stop him before he drove off. I just wish I knew what they gain by failing a pickup attempt deliberately.
