What Did I Just Eat? Rainbow Chicken?

My family have been enjoying homemade burgers on a Friday night all through lockdown. Last weekend, I purchased a packet of the Rainbow Chicken Original Steaklets, which is more like a crumbed chicken fillet than their thinner crumbed chicken patties. While it was baking in the oven, I asked my husband if he thought it smelt funny, he said he couldn't really smell anything as his sinuses were playing up. When we started assembling our burgers, he asked me what patties I had bought and I dug the packaging out the bin to show him that it was the usual steaklets. The reason he asked was because they were super thin and the "meat" was a grey/brown colour. I have no doubt, that the incorrect product was placed inside the steaklets packaging, which I purchased. But whatever it was, it was awful. My husband, son and I actually threw the burgers away as they were really awful. It being a Friday night, I went online to try to find a customer complaint area on their website, but to no avail. I called the number, no answer. I then immediately sent an email on the RCL website as it appeared they are affiliated with Rainbow Chicken. I then received a message stating that my email could not be delivered because delivery to this group is restricted to authenticated senders!! I suppose I could have returned the remaining burgers and packaging to Checkers, Moffet on Main in Port Elizabeth the following day, but I had already thrown the slip away and it was miserable weather and I really did not want to go out and stand in a queue in a mall to return an item. Furthermore, I just found their customer service not user friendly at all. I should have been able to have logged a complaint via email or something, but I was unable to. Emailing is convenient for me. Calling the customer care line is not. I hate taking calls at my desk of this nature as I share an office and do not need to have everyone hearing my business. We were just really disappointed in our dinner last week. I am not scared to purchase the product again as I have no idea what to expect. We will have to eat beef burgers for a while. #FridayNightBurgers PS: I took photos of the burgers before I tossed them in the bin, together with photos of the packaging, best before date, etc, which I attached to my email which was rejected.
