WARRANTY NOT ACCORDING TO LAW
Good morning,
As per all the telephone calls to Race View Motors since day 1 of receiving my vehicle.
22 September 2017 - 1st Day of receiving my vehicle, very happy. Till at about 10pm that evening, when hearing slight noize. At first I thought is was something stuck on tyre. Saturday 23rd I phoned Raceview Motors, speaking to Juan, he suggested I speak to Pieter who did the sale. Pieter suggested I take vehicle to a mechanical workshop. Took the vehicle to see whats wrong, switched on the engine, noise still there. At first they thought the exhaust had small hole.
The monday morning I started the engine, noize not there, drove out the complex parking, about 200m, noize started again. On my way to vetenarian, engine went into limp mode. Stopped, as I came out to leave for the office, gearbox did not want go into out of parking. Phoned Pieter again, said I must phone Impac Warranty, that is why you ave An EXTENDED WARRANTY ON YOUR VEHICLE.
I phoned immediatly, they arranged with a mechanical workshop owner in Lavender Road Pta North to assist me. My vehicle was loaded onto a load bed truck. The noize was Diesel Pump had to be replaced. Limp mode was because of the Turbo, Turbo taken out, sent away for repairs/cleaned out. New Diesel Pump replaced. Warranty claim no. 1.
2nd problem. Behind the peddal is a sensor to release the gear when in park, needed replacement, the same weekend it left me standing at Makro in Benoni area, after struggeling to get back to pta the same sunday, vehicle cuts out 3 x times that sunday evening on the highway. Phoned Raceview Motors again, once again Pieter tell me its my responsibility. Went back to the Mechanical workshop who did replaced diesel pump and turbo problems. He immediately put the vehicle on computer, also picking up other sensor problem. Derrick, owner of the wirkshop phoned Pieter immediately, when Pieter got agitated with me and Derrick, saying bring the vehicle back to Raceview. All these problems already caused delay in my work.
Took the vehicle to Raceview Motors, they gave me a lian car for 2 x weeks. According to the workshop at Raceview, they have replaced ALL SENSORS on the vehicle, which could have a possible negative effect on the vehicle, going into limp mode, damaging the engine. Got my vehicle back. No documentation was left in my vehicle stating what they actually replaced. About a week later, same problem, vehiclec has no power, limp mode, 5okm per hour...Phoned Pieter, said bring vehicle in. Taking a chance once again.
Dealer Principle sorted it while waiting. According Raceview Motors the Mechanical Workshop in Lavender Road, appointed by RMI, who did the Diesel Pump and Turbo, did not fasted the Turbo Pipes properly, which causef low compession for performance.
On 23rd December 2017, 16h00 in Zambezi Drive, the vehicle started pulling heavy. On the display, it came up. TRANSMISSION - VISIT NEAREST WORSHOP.
I phoned Raceview Motors on the monday, as the phones just rang since friday after 16h30 and over weekend, spoke to Juan, Manager. Then referred me back to Pieter, whom then once again said, take it to the nearest RMI REGISTERED MECHANICAL WORKSHOP. Switch of the engine and restart it will reset the gearbox ???
Took the vehicle in on Mondy to INTERFIX in Pta North. Did a diagnostic, AUTO CONTROL UNIT ON GEARBOX FAULTY, NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. Phone Raceview once again. To my shock I was told once again, THATS WHY YOU HAVE EXTENDED WARRANTY. Spoke to dealer Principle, very agitated with me, how do I KNOW IT WAS THE GEARBOX, AND IF SO, HOW DID I GET TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE?
(Going at a slow pace for about 6km distance to get my car home on the friday 23/12/2017)
Since 23rd December 2017 I have been without transport, Raceview could not assist me with a loan vehicle.
Since 22/12/2017 I could not enjoy my vehicle, as it has been in mechanical workshops more often, than with me.
Interfix repaired the vehicle, Warranty paying out an only amount of R 12 400, I am liable for the amount of R7 340.
WHY SHOULD I PAY IF THE LAW SAYS 6 MONTHS WARRANTY ON MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL FAULTS, ON ANY VEHICLE PURCHASED NEW OR SECOND HAND.
This is having a toll on my work. No vehicle no work.
Wish to hear from you soonest, today.
Regards
