No Support
My son drives a vehicle that is on my name and I cover the insurance as well. On the second of November 2015 Quicksure gave me authorisation to proceed with repairs at Kallies Panelbeaters. Kallies released the vehicle to my son without my consent or agreement on the 13th of November 2015. I never agreed to pay the excess as my son was responsible for the payment thereoff. Kallies and my son went into a Employer/Employee agreement to deduct the money from his salary. He is paid weekly and if Kallies kept to the agreement the full amount would have been deducted before he ended his employment. After it was released my son came to my house and I was unhappy with the work done. Later the same day my son was involved in another accident and I placed a claim in for the damage. The claim was once again awarded to Kallies panelbeaters. They phone me and informed me that there was still R 2000 excess outstanding on the first claim. I refused to pay it. They phoned me back later the same day and made arrangements for me to bring the vehicle in. Now they refuse to release the vehicle unless I pay R5000. Quicksure refuse to get involved.
The excess is the uninsured portion of the loss and for that reasons we are unable to get involved in arrangements that were made between your son and the repairer.
The excess is unfortunately your responsibility.
We are furthermore not in a position to get involved in matters between you and your son.
