3 years to close a claim

We recently relocated to Ireland and are in the process of purchasing a vehicle - what a mission!!

On my claim's history it stated that there is an active claim. We requested the claim be closed as you can not get cover while the claim is open. Please take note that the accident happened 18/01/2013.
Thuli informed us that they will force-close the claim, only to be told that they are unable to proceed as it is with the lawyers, who are now only suing the 3rd party, whom they are waiting recovery from.

After numerous phone calls, and Emails, there is still no clear feedback as to when everything will be finalised.
We are unable to drive our vehicle as Irish law states the vehicle needs to be insured. Unfortunately the insurance companies are not willing to provide us with cover as Quicksure's admin is extremely outdated.

I think it is extremely pathetic as the accident was not our fault, but we are pulling at the shorter straw!
Hello LeandraHill,

Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

The fact that we are in the process of recovering, which in itself is a long process, should not prevent you from obtaining insurance in Ireland.

You do not have an outstanding claim, we have an outstanding recovery.

Kindly request your new insurer to contact me personally to enable me to explain the situation to them, as surely they will understand what an outstanding recovery means.

Our admin is not \extremely outdated\" but we are unable to close a file on our system to suit an insurer in Ireland
