I have 50 points with QVC which I want to get rid of now as I can no longer cannot afford their high membership fees which are increasing by 10% every year! As I see it, this is a service providing contract just like a cellphone contract and it should therefore be possible to cancel the contract. Surely a contract cannot run indefinitely because even a medical aid membership can be up- or downgraded depending on your financial or lifestyle changes. And my goodness are these people not digging in their heels and want to almost threaten me with a mafia-like attitude. Does anybody have some advice on how to go about cancelling this contract? Is there any legal advice out there? Thanks.
