PWG Group and Mutual & Federal are not reliable
I am very unhappy with this broker. I've only been with them for about 2 years only. I've been hit by third parties twice, the recent experience was the worst. After someone hit me it affected my radiator and my car started leaking. When I called their Sis Assist they asked me to check whether the car was drivable of which it was but I asked that lady to stay on the phone with me whilst I drive but she hung up and never called me back *call records available * I went to the nearest police station after I was done my car was showing "engine Hazzard failure " alerts. Ths water signage was red. I parked aside to check water and the tank was empty. Bought water and filled it up. I got home and checked the water again and the tank was empty, mind you the distance was about 9kms. The following day PWG brokers asked me to go look for a quotation. I told them the car was leaking water but they insisted I go *email available* I went to the nearest panel beater but they were not happy with quote only then they gave me a list of panel beaters to choose from but I told them to recommend any that is the best so they opted for Autohaus Panel Beater in Randburg. I insisted they come tow the car because I was not happy with driving it in that state (communication is available). Fine they arranged tow truck to fetch it. 3 months down the line the panel beater calls me to come fetch my car. I ubered from Centurion to Randburg and on my way there the panel beater tells me to make a u-turn they missed the fact that the car is leaking water, I asked how come they did not test drive the car before they called me to fetch it. However I was 2kms away I told them they would explain upon my arrival because I took Uber anyway. Immediately I called my broker and express how unhappy. She said she would call me back. When I got to the panel beater the story had now changed, they said the leakage was not accident related (yet they replaced the radiator). I asked how come because I informed everyone that the car started losing water after the accident. They forced me to take my car as they were knocking off. There I was stuck with a car that still showed the same Hazzardous alerts after I was in an accident but my broker together with the panel beater insisted I take me car. On my way I kept stopping at garages, there was even smoke coming from the bonnet. I sent Ma'Cheries Harding, who's my broker from PWG, the videos and all the images. I was devastated. The following day their assessor tells me the leakage was not accident related I asked how because my car was never leaking water pior to accident. He said I must take car to Renault so they can assess it, I did bit when I got there he asked to speak to workshop manager when I gave him the phone, Dewalt le Roux from Renault Midrand stepped outside of the office to speak to Jonathan who's the assesor. Why he couldn't speak infront of me is questionable. He came back then told me he would assess the car and let me know. The report was never sent to me. The assesor came to me telling me that it was not accident related so it's all on me. I asked Dewald Le Roux to send me the report he told me he sent to Jonathan but I told him this Is my car in question he still did not send. Fast forward, the assessor told me the thermostat housing needed to be replaced and it was not accident related. I had to tow my car from Renault to whatever panel beater because they even refused to tow my car. Panel beater replaced the thermostat housing but did mention that it could not have caused such damage. It was not severely leaking, even the Dewald Le Roux from Renault mentioned it. The broker (PWG) and Mutual and Federal ditched me, I had to tow my own car and get it fired myself. I didn't have funds to do it but I spent close to 12000 or more for the repairs. They were not even bothered. Didn't even care to ask. I got my car back now in January. I sent them all the invoice but they still refused to reimburse. They are basically running away from responsibility. On top of that they increased my premium from R1089 to R1657, with R568 whereas last year they increased with R40. I asked them they told me to get another's insurance if I'm not happy. Records available
