Over a year and still NO feedback / resolution!!!
My initial request: 19 September 2019 - My husband and I were divorced on the 8th of August 2019. We are both insured on the policy. As part of the divorce order, the house, contents of the house and all other insured items were transferred in my name. The only insured item that does not belong to me is his personal vehicle. What process must be followed to transfer the policy in my name and remove my husband insured ?
Answer received 19 September 2019 from Sylvia Van Rooi: I refer to your email and wish to confirm with this that your husband will have to take out a brand new policy for the car only. You will also need to issue another policy because the existing policy is based on your husband's profile. Please complete the needs analysis to re-verify the correct information of the insured items. I will send the quote as soon as I receive the information from you.
11 March 2020 : I Submitted the Needs Analysis and received NO feedback afterwards.
9 June 2020: I emailed PSG again because I still didn't receive any feedback and I noticed that the amounts recovered from my bank account changed as follows: End of March: R1948.63 End of April: R2041.35 End of May: R2277.87 Can you please give me feedback on what exactly is going on here?
9 June 2020 - Answer received Sylvia van Rooi: I refer to your email and hereby wish to confirm the following premium inquiries: March Premium - the motorcycle was removed and the values of vehicles adjusted. April - A 20% discount was granted from Santam on the vehicle section. May / June - premium returns to what it was as per attached policy schedule. Please go through the policy carefully to make sure that everything is still in order.
My reply to Sylvia 9 June 2020: As I already explained to you in my very first email (17 Sept 2019), my husband and I are divorced. I have provided you with a NEW NEEDS ANALYSIS (11 March 2020) on which I will be the main insured and I also mentioned that my ex-husband's vehicle should not be on this insurance. This request was NOT processed by you and my ex husband is still the main insured on existing policy.
Feedback received on 9 June 2020 Dineo Sibanyoni: Firstly we would like to apologize for not actioning your request to cancel the Daihatsu Materia on the 17.09.2019 as requested, we will send your request to our admin department for them to backdate the cancellation and will send you the updated policy schedule informing you of the new premium and refund no later than Friday the 12.06.2020
My reply to the above: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE read ALL the emails!!! My ex-husband is the main insured on the existing policy (the Diahatsu Materia is still on this policy). He will have to cancel this policy himself and take out a new policy for the vehicle. I send in the new needs analysis so that I can have my OWN policy where I'm the main insured. I paid for the Diahatsu Materia even though we've already been divorced since the 8th of August 2019. DO NOT CONFUSE THE REQUESTS PLEASE.
Reply 10 June 2020 Timothy Tlhone: We would like to apologize for not actioning your request to cancel the Daihatsu Materia on the 17.09.2019 as requested. Today is the 23rd of September and NOTHING has been resolved and NO further feedback received. As you can see from the above email trail NO ONE seems to understand or know what the hell they are doing!
Is there anyone at PSG who can read and who can understand that my ex husband is the main insured on the existing policy (which I STILL pay for) and that I have already completed a new Needs Analysis for my OWN insurance that STILL has not been processed by PSG? My ex husband has to arrange for his own insurance.
